**Chemeketa Storm Dominates Tacoma in Resounding Victory**
In a one-sided affair, on December 6, 2025, at the Pirate Classic hosted by Peninsula College, the Chemeketa Storm trounced the Tacoma Titans with a commanding 100-49 victory. This triumph marked Chemeketa's third win of the season, improving their record to 3-1, while Tacoma remained winless at 0-5.
From the opening quarter, it was clear that Chemeketa had control over the game, outscoring Tacoma 21-10. They maintained their lead throughout, ending the first half with a 47-23 advantage. Chemeketa's dominance continued into the second half, allowing Tacoma only 9 points in the third quarter while racking up 24 of their own. The fourth quarter saw Chemeketa adding another 29 points to seal their emphatic win.
Chemeketa showcased a balanced scoring effort, with Patricia Mike shining as the top scorer with 17 points, including three 3-pointers. The starting lineup contributed significantly, with Mia Fullbright and Ava Rubio each adding a solid 10 points. Off the bench, Kaiya Woolsey made an impact with 12 points, hitting an impressive 6 of 7 field goals.
The Storm's offense was efficient, shooting 55.1% from the field, including 39.1% from the three-point range. They also controlled the glass, out-rebounding Tacoma 46-31.
On the other hand, Tacoma struggled offensively, shooting only 28.1% from the field and a mere 17.1% from beyond the arc. Despite a valiant effort by Laney Green, who scored 12 points and grabbed 8 rebounds, Tacoma couldn't close the gap. Tamairah Allen contributed 10 points and led Tacoma with 6 assists, but the team's 28 turnovers marred their performance.
Chemeketa's defense played a pivotal role, forcing these turnovers and capitalizing on Tacoma's mistakes. They also shared the ball effectively, registering 20 assists compared to Tacoma's 9.
In summary, Chemeketa's offensive prowess and defensive tenacity proved too much for Tacoma, resulting in a comfortable victory. The Storm will look to carry this momentum forward as they continue their season, while Tacoma will need to regroup and address their offensive inefficiencies to secure their first win.
