Chemeketa took an early lead in the first inning, with L. Kreisberg hitting a home run and J. Genduso contributing an RBI double. By the end of the third inning, Chemeketa extended their lead to 3-0 with another homer by Genduso. The team further intensified their offense in the fifth inning, scoring three additional runs. Jc. From the outset, Chemeketa set the tone with a strong offensive display in the first inning. L. Kreisberg was instrumental, delivering a single that brought home C. Leming and J. Genduso, giving Chemeketa an early 2-0 lead. Their momentum continued in the second inning, as E. Blackhawk scored off another Kreisberg single. Despite an error by Clackamas' third baseman, which allowed N. Crawford to advance and Kreisberg to score unearned, Chemeketa built a 4-0 cushion.
Clackamas struggled to gain traction against Chemeketa's pitching early on. Their first breakthrough came in the sixth inning when N. Molitor and L. Boswell each hit RBI singles, narrowing the deficit to 6-2. However, any hopes of a comeback were quickly dashed.
Chemeketa responded emphatically in the bottom of the sixth, capitalizing on errors and strategic hits. Contributions from W. Hooper, B. Hubble, Jc. Klee, and C. Leming, among others, extended Chemeketa's lead to 10-2.
In the seventh inning, Clackamas managed to add two more runs through sacrifice flies by W. Goth and G. Gillett but ultimately fell short, concluding the game with a 10-4 loss.
On the mound, Chemeketa's pitchers, including L. Kreisberg, C. Stortro, and L. Petty, collectively limited Clackamas to four runs and eight strikeouts over seven innings.
